Local 93 is continuously striving to stay connected to our community and to the people who help build it.

We recognize that the construction workforce is aging while the demand for skilled tradespeople is ever-growing. The need to recruit and train new workers in the industry will continue to rise in the coming years.

The skilled trades must focus on improving recruitment, retention and most importantly, job safety. To maximize our recruitment efforts, Local 93 relies on our existing membership to help us reach out to community members who are looking to build a successful career in a growing industry, those who are just entering the workforce, and those who might not be aware of the opportunities available to them in the trades. Unlike many post-secondary career tracks, Union Carpentry guarantees better education, no pay inequity, and places the safety of the worker at the forefront of every project. Our already diverse membership strives to act as role models for those who might not have the confidence to enter the industry. We truly believe that a diversified workforce will time and again show better creativity, problem solving, and productivity - all to the benefit of the workers, the contractors and, in the end, the community.
